Bipolar Balancing Act is written by Karen. She was diagnosed with Bipolar II Disorder in 2012 and has weathered many ups and downs (and downs) since her diagnosis, as well as the period preceding diagnosis. Over the years her diagnosis has ranged from “there’s nothing wrong with you”, to Major Depressive Disorder  and Generalized Anxiety Disorder. She has faced some of the most alarming symptoms and survived. Through a combination of inpatient treatment, outpatient counselling and personal work she has managed to achieve personal success and thrive while living with bipolar II disorder.

From crippling depression and isolating anxiety to coping in the workplace and managing relationships she has cultivated a toolbox of exercises, tips and insights that she wants to share as widely as possible.
